Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a new tour of Pioneer Square's original ground level?

Yes! Beneath the Streets™ is a new tour that explores the subterranean passageways in Pioneer Square. Our tours launched in 2013 and include new underground spaces that have never been open to prior tours.

Is this a ghost tour?

No. We do not cover any of the neighborhood's haunted history.

Do you take cash?

In accordance with local county health guidelines, credit cards are the preferred form of payment. Ticket sales are on a first-come, first-served basis and tours frequently sell out. To guarantee space for a specific tour date and time, you may purchase tickets in advance on our website. Tours listed as "Sold Out" often have limited walk-up availability.

Is the tour accessible for wheelchairs and strollers?

Unfortunately, the historic buildings we visit are not ADA accessible. There are six flights of stairs along the tour route and no elevator access. Strollers may be carried up/down stairs or may be stored in the ticket office for the duration of the tour.

Can I bring my dog, or pet, on the tour?

Unfortunately, our lease agreements only allow certified service animals in the underground sections of our tour.

Is the tour appropriate for children?

We certainly welcome children on our tours, however they may have trouble paying attention to a one hour history tour.

Where should we park?

Street parking is your least expensive option; you'll want to put at least 90 minutes on the meter. For parking and transit information click here
